Protected Learning 2010/11

The practice will close at 12.30pm on the following dates for Protected Learning Time. Wed 17th Feb, Wed 31st March, Wed 26th May, Wed 1st Sep, Wed 24th Nov, Wed 2nd Feb 2011 and Wed 30th Mar 2011. Public Holiday Closures 2010/11

The practice will be closed on the following dates - Friday 2nd April, Monday 5th April, Monday 3rd May, Monday 20th September, Monday 27th December, Tuesday 28th December, Monday 3rd January 2011 and Tuesday 4th January 2011.

Swine Flu

If you have a flu-like illness with 2 or more of the following symptoms:- fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, joint/muscle pains, headache. Please DO NOT come to the surgery but stay at home and telephone the practice to speak to the Duty Doctor.

H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccine

We have now received a limited supply of swine flu vaccine. The top priority patients are Pregnant women in the 2nd or 3rd trimester (i.e. 12 weeks or more pregnant) and those aged over 6 months and under 65 years who have a health problem which puts them at increased risk of developing complications of flu. This includes- - Chronic Respiratory disease (Asthma or COPD) - Chronic Heart disease - Chronic Renal disease - Liver disease - Neurological disease - Diabetes - Immunosuppressed (splenectomy, active chemotherapy, low weight Anorexia Nervosa. Other priority groups include household contacts of people who are immunosuppressed, people aged 65 yrs and over who have a health problem which puts them at increased risk of developing complications of flu and all children aged 6 months to 5 years. Please telephone the practice now to make an appointment if you meet the criteria in the top priority groups.
